This series is inspired by the nature illustrations of 19th-century biologist and artist Erns Haeckel. His fascination with organic forms, repetition, and symmetry aligns seamlessly with my own sense of wonder for the natural world. Since 2010, I have been working with clay that I collect myself form the earth. This creates a direct connection between source of inspiration, material, and maker.
